Im folgenden stelle ich Ihnen einige Ideen zum Thema vor.

Story-Telling

Zur Verdeutlichung der story benötigt man folgende flashcards:
ice-cream cone, circles in different colours, bowl, spoon

Lots of ice-cream

Sally and her Mum are in town shopping. They look into the dress shop for a new T-shirt.
They look into a shoe shop for red shoes. They look into a toy shop for a 
skateboard.
It's very very hot. Sally has an idea. "Mum, look, there is an ice-cream store over there. Can I have an ice-cream, please?" "Yes, Sally, that's a super idea. 
Let's go."
In the ice-cream store there are so many different colours and different flavours. Sally has got a problem. "Hmmm - I'd like banana ice-cream". 
The store lady puts the yellow ice-cream into the cone. "Then I'd like 
strawberry ice-cream." 
The store lady puts the red ice-cream into the cone. Sally goes on, "And I'd like stratiatella ice-cream and orange ice-cream and vanilla ice-cram and ..." 
The ice-cone is vey very big now. Sally is very happy with her big ice cone. 
But then - oh no! Look! The ice-cream starts to slide out of the cone! 
The store lady hurries to the shelf. "You better eat your ice-cram out of a 
bowl," she says to Sally and gives her a nice blue bowl and a spoon. 
"Thank you," says Sally, "That's is much better for my new T-shirt and my 
new red shoes. Yummy, the ice-cream tastes great."

But when the tide comes rushing in (one arm sweeps inwards) 
They will have to move away! (Arm makes leveling motion) 
Splashing in the water (hands make splashing motions) 
Of the cool blue sea, 
Playing wave tag - in and out, (run forward with small steps) 
You can't catch me! (run quickly backwards) 
Holding up a seashell 
Tightly to my ear. (Hold fist tightly to ear) 
Shh! It's telling me a secret (other hand holds finger to lips) 
That only I can hear.

Ice-cream

I scream!
You scream! 
We all scream for 
ICE CREAM! 
 

  Five little ice-cream cones

Dieser Reim lässt sich gut mit Eiswaffeln aus gebasteltem Tonkarton nachspielen.

Five little ice-cream cones so good to eat.
The first one said, I'm a summer time treat.
The second one said, it's such a hot day
The third one said, I'm melting away.
The fourth one said, don't lose your top.
The fifth one said, oh dear, ker-plop! 

I like ice-cream

I like ice-cream. Yes I do!
One scoop for me?

Hmmm -  two scoops of ice-cream,

Die Kinder schneiden die Umrise des Seesterns aus. Das Blatt oder das Tonpapier wird mit Kleber versehen, dann mit verschiedenen Materialien verziert.

I'm packing my suitcase

Die Kinder sitzen im Kreis und bennennen Dinge, die sie in ihren Koffer packen wollen. Das erste Kind beginnt mit einem Wort, das zweite Kind wiederholt es und fügt eine neue Vokabel hinzu. So werden alle bereits bekannte Wörter reaktiviert.
